on vocal music from throughout the centuries. From Pulitzer Prize winning
composer Norman Dello Joio to perennial holiday favorite Russian Christmas
music, this concert promises to leave a song in your heart!

Our March concert
celebrates over 150 years of the finest music ever written for band! This
performance will feature Jack Stamp's "Five Songs from the Hills", based
upon Appalachian folk melodies. Come listen to classic works for band by
Grainger, Persichetti and Chance followed by the exciting sounds of
Pittsburgh's very own Samuel Hazo. It
promises to be a fun filled evening for all!

Leonard Bernstein" |

Composer, conductor,
pianist and teacher Leonard Bernstein was one of the most influential and
transformational musicians of the 20th century. Come celebrate his legacy
with music from the Broadway stage to the concert hall. This performance
will also feature members of the SHU Youth Honors Band and the SHU Jazz
Ensemble.
